Fitted with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, the I7500 Android phone is centered around a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen running at 320 x 480 resolution. O2 will be the first to release the I7500 Android phone, as a European exclusive. However since the I7500 Android phone supports triband 900/1700/2100 HSDPA/HSUPA, alongside quadband 850/900/1800/1900 GSM/GPRS/EDGE, it is compatible with T-Mobile USA’s 3G network.

Other connectivity for the I7500 Android phone includes WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0, together with microUSB for recharging and synchronizing. The I7500 Android phone also has a 3.5mm headphone socket for use with standard headphones and headsets. As well as the usual Google applications, including YouTube, GMail, Google Maps, Google Talk and a full web browser, the I7500 Android phone has a media player with broad audio and video codec support. MPEG4, H.263, H.264 and WMV video files can be played by the I7500 Android phone, together with MP3, AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+, WMA and RA audio files.

The I7500 Android phone has 8GB of integrated memory, together with a microSD slot that will support up to 32GB cards. Samsung have given their I7500 Android phone a 1500mAh battery for long runtime, though the I7500 still measures just 115 x 56 x 11.9mm. Users will be able to download software directly to the I7500 through the Android Market.
